Mentorship
Mentorship within the Rockit Live Foundation comes in multiple forms. Teachers, professional musicians, industry professionals, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees all play a part in mentoring our musicians.
Rockit Academy teachers are the foundation to our mentorship program. Our instructors are serious educators who take pride in being a significant part of a future musician’s career. Guidance begins in the rehearsal room and during private lessons, where students not only are learning technical skills, but forming relationships, building character, and acquiring confidence and team skills.
Beyond our teachers, Rockit Live Foundation has cultivated relationships with industry professionals to provide additional advice and mentorship to our serious minded musicians. Our Artist Advisory Board consists of Eddie and Susan Brigati, Stevie and Maureen Van Zandt, Carmine Appice, Ricky Byrd, Liberty DeVitto, Rich Russo, Mark Weiss, Steve Lacey and Maria Milito. Rockit Academy students are given opportunities to learn from and perform with some of these rock legends, as well as their friends at special events.
