Michael Arrom, keyboard wiz and Rockit alumnus, is taking a gap year from his acceptance into USC’s prestigious Thornton School of Music to perform with Steve Vai on his Story of Light tour. Dates begin in Australia on July 10 in Perth and continue on through Thailand, China, South Korea, and Japan. Complete tour dates are up on Steve Vai’s site.
Arrom first got a taste of national exposure by landing a gig with Keith Urban and company at the 2012 American Country Awards in Las Vegas.
The young musician has been working on a difficult Vai composition called “Angel Food.”
