Eight Eddie Brigati Honors Scholarship Musicians (forming The Rascals tribute band, GROOVIN’) had the privilege of performing on stage at our NYC home, The Cutting Room, with rock legends and Rockit Live Foundation Artist Advisory Board members, Stevie and Maureen Van Zandt, Ricky Byrd, and of course, Eddie and Susan Brigati. The event’s MC was additional Artist Advisory Board member, and NYC Fox5 evening news anchor, Steve Lacy.

Joe Pomarico, producer of Grammy Award winning records at Atlantic Records, surprised Eddit Brigati with unveiling newly RIAA certified (in a digital era!) GOLD RECORD of “Good Lovin’” and PLATINUM RECORDS of “Groovin’” and “A Beautiful Morning”!

The show also unveiled the 2024 video premiere of GROOVIN’s newly recorded “People Got to be Free” featuring Eddie Brigati, from audio sessions produced by Joe Pomarico at Atlantic Records Studio in NYC. Click here to watch.

Special thanks: Rockit thanks Stevie and Maureen Van Zandt, Ricky Byrd, David Brigati, Steve Lacy, Joe Pomarico, and Maria Milito for joining us to honor Eddie and supporting our foundation in so many ways. Thank you to The Cutting Room for being our NYC home and lifting up our organization. Thank you Eddie and Susan Brigati, for mentoring our musicians and treating them like your own family. Thank you to Joe Pomarico for not only supporting Eddie, but giving our musicians an experience of a lifetime getting to record at Atlantic Studios. Thank you to Mike Pomarico for creating, producing, and shooting an incredible video that documented this unbelievable experience. Click here for photos of the event by Sean Tobin.
